      Does anyone know where I might be able to source one of these. I have been on eBay searching. The ones I find, the prices they want are more than the motor is worth.

        By the “top cover”  I guess that you mean what we call the hood. …correct? The big fiberglas cover for the engine.

          I have a cowling from a newer 6HP Chrysler in the unlikely event that they will interchange.  Mine is a 1980 I think.
