Anyone know what this tank fitting is? Similar to older Merc fittings but much smaller. Looking for the male fitting. It has a pin bottom right that when depressed is the tank vent. Thanks, Bruce

Mercury used a smaller version of their typical bayonet fitting in the early sixties thru 1971.  I see them on the smaller motors;  the 3.9’s thru the 9.8’s.

I think it’s Mercury part # 30635T3  for the male end.

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll take a look at it. The problem I see though is the vent pin on the tank flange. The fuel line fitting needs to depress the pin to vent the tank.

Yes.  I see that now.  There’s another one of them for sale right now on ebay but that one seems to be missing the connector as well.

My guess would be Elgin or Scott

Thanks guys. Chuck, I looked at the ebay listing and that is the tank I have.

I was also thinking that Scott used a bayonet type fitting, but the vent pin issue would seem to require a fitting with a flange that would interface to the pin.

Almost like a reverse Mercury or Scott fitting… Like they swapped the motor with the tank fittings and vice versa..
