How do you replace the high tension lead in the cdi models of the Seagull? It seems to be epoxied in.

Before I experiment I’d like to hear from someone who has done it. Nothing worse than an experiment

gone bad ! I don’t have any shop manuals for this either. The manuals I have are for the older points models

so if you have this written info I would greatly appreciate it.

If you have the white ignition CDI. the HT lead screws in.  If you have the brown/black one, I do not think they are replaceble

Thank you for that info even though it is not that good. Now, has anyone tried to do the imposable and replace the lead the hard way?
