Friend has a Johnson RDS-23 40 HP.  Decal says fuel oil ratio is 24-1 with SAE 30 motor oil. If he uses TC-W3 oil is 24-1 still the proper ratio. He was briefly running at 50-1. I stoped him.

stay safe oil is cheaper than parts !!!  24/1 is  good for bugs anyway

I would stick with 24:1 as well.  An engine that is in good tune, and getting up to temperature will hardly smoke at all at 24:1
