Shouldn’t need any flux as your only melting the solder
back together. The tank and the bung are already
coated with solder. (tined) I don’t know when the
nickel is applied. Before or after assembly. Either
way it wont melt so it shouldn’t be a problem.
A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.
