Chris P; I have those same ads you do. Thought I had this all figured out, but guess not? Sorry Kyle guess the answer from my perspective is Im not sure.
I also noted in the ads the old which is correct for low speed needle knob? Round or lever? I have seen this for years on CD & QD models. The low speed round knob never looked right to me before as a round knob with a high speed lever. (I call it a lever because I can’t think of anything else proper to call it?) The ads show ’54 vs ’55 the way it should be "I guess"! Still looks weird to me. At least it explains why you see so many with what appears to be wrong knobs that don’t match. I hope someone else can be more precise Kyle.
