It was several years ago now, but pretty sure it was Jeff Register who told me to use a short section of pvc pipe ( shaved down on the outside a bit). Clock the impeller into the pipe with some Vaseline and then use the pipe as a guide to get the impeller started into the pump housing. Worked well !
