    What Richard saw… that bracket.  Was there an option or after market accessory for an underwater exhaust? The bracket looks like it would fit a down tube.

    PS, yes , I just checked Arlan Carter’s book…underwater exhaust was offered as an option in 1913 Evinrude RBM , cost $5.00 if ordered on the motor  or $7.00 as an accessory.
