    You’re correct, the underside of the lever is contacting the covers. The lever that I was trying to use is a nice cast aluminum that may have come from a Neptune outboard which looked similar to the Muncie. I could probably remove some material from the bottom without effecting the look and function of it. I try to keep everything as original as I can. I might just try that if I’m unable to obtain the correct lever. Thanks for your reply, much appreciated!
