Hi Tubs and Wayne. I got it all together tonight and it works! It was a snug fit getting it all into the tube and as the condenser is already mounted inside the timer on my motor there was no need to fit one in or on the coil case. All I have to do now is paint the unit and fit the spark plug connectors to the HT leads.

I ended up bolting the two coil laminations together with 1/8 inch nuts bolts and spring washers which made the unit rigid and easy to handle. I will try and post some photos  in the next day or so.
