    I made one like the original Mercury Service tool years ago for my KG7.  Works like a charm.  As noted above the threads on the cover are lefthand, so turn Right to loosen cover. If you are near me you are welcome to borrow mine, but I will not sell it.  It will be included with my KG7  with numerous other accessories  that I am selling as a package.
