“My question is , is there any advantage with brass over spring steel reeds or visa versa?”

I’m 77 years of age; ‘ been working (involved) with 2 cycle outboard motors for 6 decades. I’ve yet to see or feel any reeds made of brass.

Conclusion – Brass reeds are as rare as Hen’s Molars ?!
