    OMC seems to have used boots/connectors commonly called "sparkys" https://www.amazon.com/Stens-135-053-Sp … text&psc=1 These are also used on many small engines. IMO these are not the most rubust design, but if you use metal core wire (most auto parts stores will have it) and make sure to poke the connector through the center of the wire they will work.
