My ’66 Model Johnson 3 hp has been running on a 50:1 mix since I inherited it from my uncle back in ’84. I figured the people that designed and built the motor knew more than the guy on the street which is why they put a label on the front of the motor that called for 50:1. When all else fails…read the directions.
