amuller, here is my steering setup. I used a tie rod end from a junk car and welded a small chunk of 1/2" pipe to it. Made a mounting bracket to attach it to the transom. I needed more up and down movement so I rebuilt the thing to get another pivot point. It does work darn good. These steering cables are way better than the old pulley type.
