Yeah, that doesn’t look good…Looks like the casting is either cracked or porous…Did you see any damage from a previous failure on the inside of the gear housing when you had it apart? I guess I would sand down that area to help pinpoint the actual leak, but you will probably have to pull it all apart again…
I hope I am wrong also…
