    As you search, there are also aftermarket units out there, but some only have enough hydraulic force to tilt but not trim under load. A friend of mine bought one of these when he bought his 85 HP Evinrude new in the early 1970s, and was disappointed when he discovered it could not be used to trim, but it was good for tilting when putting the boat on and off the trailer.
