Tried starting the ThorKing yesterday with the drill.
Sounded like it was firing interminttently,
at times. I had better luck the first day trying to start it
with the rope…… it actually stayed running by itself about
15 seconds. Yesterday, as soon as I let up on the drill it would die.
Decided today to re-check the compression while spinning it
over with the drill, and watching the spark plug at the same time.
Noticed that it sparked good at first, then not at all, then once
in a while. Compression maxed out at 73 psi.
Pulled the flywheel to see what was up with the spark.
I found out that they don’t make JBWeld like the use to. 😮
Keyway was wallowed out again, key cocked sideways,
cam wiggled back and forth about 1/8" on the crank, and
    JBWeld "dust" all over.
I may have to box up the little Sea King and send it to Mumbles
to fix the keyway. 🙂 or go to plan B!
The story goes that Carl Kiekahfer used crankshafts out
of WaterWitch’s to get the Wards rejects going for re-sale.
I have a single cylinder, froze up, parts Water Witch, just wondering
if it’s possible it’s crankshaft would be a "swap" for my bad crank??
