    And now for my take on it. I’d probably have the silencer off because of doing carburetor work–right? So, the way I do it is remove the flywheel and electric starter and the bracket (or generator if equipped) from the other side, then the carburetor and silencer as one chunk.
    Easy. And in most cases the flywheel would be coming off for ignition work anyway.
