I guess it depends on the condition of the CD, and how much you paid for it. If you paid too much, the engine isn’t in decent shape, and you are not really interested in it, then it’s a problem.
On the other hand, I have surely paid too much for engines, but I really wanted them, just didn’t take the time to inspect them thoroughly. So, don’t be too hard on yourself.
