    The obvious question is "Why not both?" 😀 I have a 1959 QD that I have not run yet on a boat, 😳 but I have a 58 fleetwin which is a wonderful, but not very powerful motor. I also have a 1970 Johnson 9.5 hp. I will say, that among the 6 different 9.5’s I have run, I have noticed a significant difference in power between motors.
