    Im not doing you any good. Looking in my "Common Parts Reference Guide" (Johnson) I only see .025 oversize pistons for RD-22/23. They don’t show .040 till 33hp motors. That’s not the way I remember it, but that’s what I am seeing in both the ’73 & ’76 editions. Looking in a 1970 Parts/Price book doesn’t cross any of the part numbers you gave. I don’t have any Gale parts manuals that go up to 40hp, just the ’59 35s. I tried.
    Maybe someone else will have a different source & chime in.
