2-strokes are dirty. Nature of the beasts… As noted above, there are some things you can do to alleviate the worst of it. Running the motor as lean as possible on the carb settings without running too lean (plugs a nice light chocolate, not white), running the correct fuel mixture, making sure you’ve got the right plugs, etc. can make sure it is running as efficiently as possible.
