Oh, I won’t give up. The motor has been on a stand with the flywheel puller bolt cranked down for about 6 months now. Sooner or later, I figure its got to let go. In the meantime, I bought a ’79 Evinrude 35 that needed wires (thanks to mice with obvious bladder control problems), a carb rebuild and water pump. I got it running like a watch on the back of my ’56 FC Rocket and am really enjoying it.
