OK, I think I understand what you are referring to….
Can you use the original FD pan and engine cover? If not, I’m thinking that bracket will have to be changed which means the powerhead must come back off. But, I’m not sure that the QD support will bolt up to the FD midsection….
What do mean by: PW?
What handle do you have to change if you use the QD bracket, the steering handle? Are you saying the lower cover will hit the steering handle if you use the QD bracket support? I don’t know if the QD steering handle from the smaller midsection will bolt up to the FD midsection…
In any event, seems like you will have to remove the powerhead no matter what changes you make…
Very interesting project for sure! I’m sorry that I did not consider that bracket when I assssumed the powerheads could be swapped out…
Again, could you use the original FD pan and cover with the smaller QD powerhead in place???
