QD steering handle, or the tiller handle? The tiller handles are the same, but the steering handles are different….
Kind of confused with your explanation….I would guess that the QD powerhead will fit on the 1960 midsection without much modification, you may need to change some of the brackets that the vertical throttle rod is on…
Again, I’m guessing that the shift detent rod will fit properly on the FD midsection, seeing that the earlier QDs were on this midsection, but don’t know that for sure…
Again, I am assuming both these engines are 1960 vintage with the fiberglass hood. If not, then all bets are off due to the powerhead mounts for the older aluminum hood….
Post some pictures if that will help….Don’t know why you needed to buy 1957 linkages, but I’m guessing I am not understanding the swap completely…
