I bought the motor from a collector in very good condition. Everything is tight on this motor. But there’s a lot of slop in that bottom bushing

He claims he’s never had this motor apart for anything and all the time he’s had It.

Do some of these motors have an extraordinary amount of slop in this joint? I can move it off of its axis by 3/16 of an inch.

It’s almost as if there’s no bushing inside whatsoever.

I would have to assume that this motor has been apart at one time and the bushing forgotten or just plain old worn right out …this motor is so clean I would be surprised if it was worn out
