Garry, I’d love to learn more about the oil injected V4 motors that are mentioned at the bottom of the serial # list… I don’t want to hijack this thread though.. maybe you could start a new one ? I have heard of these motors and wondered if any pictures have survived ?
It amazes me how many times I see ”new technology” on modern outboards and think ”hey, they used that way back when on such and such a motor”. Anything from replaceable prop hubs to the dual line pressure fuel system, the same basic idea used on a
Merc V6 oil injection system. Pretty cool when you think about it.
