    I don’t know the exact years but the backwards gears show up early, like the ’56-’58 range in my experience and are gone by around 1959. This is all subject to very bad memory. But I CAN say that the backwards gears were in a standard rotation case. WHY, I don’t know. Maybe it was a mistake that they figured out….
