No need for a smart TV to watch Youtube. Most last-gen gaming consoles will get youtube, netflix, all sorts of stuff. Add in boxes specifically designed for it like the Roku, Amazon Fire Stick, Google Chromecast, you don’t need a smart TV
Wife and I have a Roku 4, cut cable about a year ago, now we pay about $20 and get all of the shows we used to watch and most of the channels we want. If there’s a football game on we go to friend’s or a bar.
