    Well, anything is possible…But, are you saying that the debris was under the SS steel impeller plate? If so, seems very doubtful it came from inside the engine anywhere. The debris would have had to come down the water tube and backwards through the water pump in order to end up under the SS plate. With this in mind, I’m thinking it is debris left behind during previous repairs…
