I appreciate all of the responses. I have a lot of reading to do as I am not familiar with the newer devices nor do I even know how to install them. But, I will learn.

As to why I think I need new condensers is that neither one passes the test of resistance. Both show no reading on my multiimeter and being that I have gone this far I might as well replace both condensers. Something that caught my eye on another forum is that if you purchase OEM condensers, they may be deteriorated due to their shelf life of 40 – 50 years being that they were discontinued then. Thanks again.
