Well, there is surely something to be said for the positive result of using an impact knocker or gun, can effectively loosen up the salt grip of the fastener. The down side is that you can’t really "feel" how the process is going like you can when loosening the fastener manually in a gentle fashion. In the end, I guess failure using either method results in the dreaded broken SS fastener.
