You will be surprised how much fan it takes to move the volume of air that runs thru an engine. Do some simple calcs basted on cylinder volume and RPM. On the outlet side of your system my guess is that you wont get satisfactory results going straight out the window with out some sort of stack to combat any little breeze that blows the wrong way. Like FrankR says you need to move a HUGE amount of air.
