One of my old manuals makes reference to a special Knockout Nut part # T-2910 to use on 30-50 hp models, T-2909 for 10,12 and 15-hp models.
Lift up on the edge, it says, and strike nut with a medium hammer. Not too hard. Flywheel nut torque for 30-50 hp is 75 ft/lbs, 45 for 10,12, and 15s.
