I was successful with an old v-belt to pad the nut and a pipe wrench. Somewhere my tool-and-die-maker father is shaking his head.

I will try a large socket next time. Hopefully there won’t be a next time.
Now the bad news. There is always bad news. Both coils are cracked. 🙁
