You might try looking on the internet to see if you have any gas stations or fuel suppliers or marinas in your area that sell gasoline without the alcohol . I think the site is called real gas .com or pure gas .com it shows state by state where pure gas is sold. You might be lucky and have a supplier near you . Their pumps have a insignia on the front denoting gas without alcohol. This would solve your problem you would not need to coat your float. Bill,
