I’m sorry to admit my ignorance on this matter (and all other matters related to outboard motors) but i am just getting into the motor portion of my project. I understand that in the dual lever design, one lever controls the power while the other controls the direction. In a single lever design, am i correct to assume that straight up and down is neutral and then forward and backward are relative to that neutral straight up and down position?
ive seen a few single arm boxes that have a reverse button on them. the ones im talking about are usually white. is that button just a precaution to prevent you from going to reverse?
