I will have to take a look at it. It has been a while since I worked on this motor and I do not remember the condition of the packing. It must have not been what I thought though as, by the the time I got to the lake, the needles had unscrewed to the point I was wondering what the heck was wrong with the motor when I tried to start it. After bringing the high speeding back to around its proper setting, she started right up. But, I did have a "what the what?" look on my face after the 3rd or 4th pull.

I normally replace the packing. Maybe I didn’t for some reason on this motor.
