The pulse hose on a 438555 is a separate fitting on the bottom. Yes you could drill one of the bypass covers for a hose fitting to supply the pulse to the pump. You might be able to mount the pump to the other bypass cover and drive it with a pulse hose. All I can say is look it over and see if it is doable. I haven’t tried it.
