I think it is 1/2inch dia. Go to lowes or homedepot or similar. Buy a piece of 1/2 aluminum rod. cut to length. Works fine. But might be 7/16, don’t remember.

I bought an aluminum rod off ebay that goes from the throttle arm to the gear, has square ends to fit. That really helped…until I went remote..

I ran a spring from the stator to that arm to take out slop from the link.

Oh…if one has to remove the stator plate, measure and use a center punch to raise or knurl the low spots on the motor to tighten up that area.

One can use a beer can shim on the two piece metal clamp, if plastic remove material from the two halfs mating area.
