I got the 58 Evinrude running this morning. It didn’t do too bad. One weird thing though. It will pump water fine at idle and low to mid range rpms but when I revved it up a little the water slowed down to a trickle. I expected the opposite. If I shut it down and start it right back up it pumps again normally. I am hoping that it has something to do with being run in the barrel, maybe sucking up air and losing its prime. Kinda hoping I don’t have to pull it apart again to check the impeller key.
