    Mercman, those little 3hp motors are great engines, but an evaluation of a motor should always consist of first compression, then spark(ignition) and then fuel delivery(carburetor).

    What are your compression numbers? If you have not check compression please borrow or get a loaner from AutoZone or Napa..etc.

    If you have low compression, a good igntion or a cleaned dialed in carburetor is not going to improve running.
