    These motors need forward motion in the water to cool properly. It is dribbling water with the prop thrust alone in the barrel, so I’d guess it would be fine when running on a boat. The only way to know for sure is to try it. Just keep a close.eye on it until you are comfortable it is cooling OK. I’m by no mears any kind of expert on these motors though.
