Ok fleetwin thanks. That’s about as good as an explanation I could have hoped for. I think I got it, it seems to be working fine now. The only thing is, it seems like the point on the gray, lower lever should be longer because it seems to have a tendency to flop outside the black lever when shifting to neutral. That may have been what caused this in the first place. But thanks again for your (always) clear and thorough explanation of things!
