Your small 327031 seal fits the three horse JW and Lightwin series driveshafts and also the early 5.5 and 7.5 horse motor driveshafts and your motor originally used a 303345 seal on the prop shaft. By early I mean anything before 1969 or so. I think it was mid ’68 they changed the seals and housings. The later motors use 314167 on the driveshaft and 313282 on the prop shaft. Since the bearing carriers on the prop shaft and under the water pump will interchange right up thru ’79, your motor has probably had some parts from a six horse swapped into it.
