Yup, I got the boat, trailer (needs tires), trolling motor (stripped swivel tension screw buy otherwise fine), oars (need paint or varnish), small fish net, floating fish basket, 1 year left on the current registration, 6 gallon pressure tank which is pretty clean inside but will need a rebuild and new dual line, and the ’59 Fastwin. 😉
Boat needs a bit of tlc but it is usable as is. I’ll probably just drop it in my pond for a little test run but it will get some work as I get to it. I have 2 other boats so it isn’t a huge rush.
I think the motor is going to be a peach. I’m really happy with what I’m seeing. It’s got some stories to tell but overall a pretty nice original. Nice and clean under the hood, coils have been replaced with newer OMC coils. It’s only got spark on the bottom cylinder now, but a tune up will fix that. I’ll go through the fuel and ignition on the old girl, replace the impeller and change oil in the gearcase and I bet she’ll be ready for the lake.
I will probably go through this one when I get my ’54 Super Fastwin put back together. I hope to give that one a test run again this weekend. Maybe both of them if I get the time. I’ll post a few pics shortly.
