The “SF” badge on the side is particularly interesting. It appears to be associated with Scotia Fiberglass Products, and the hull is very much in the style of the small fiberglass outboard boats produced in Nova Scotia in that period.
I found solid historical evidence that Scotia Fiberglass Products Ltd. of MacKay Street, Stellarton, Nova Scotia, was manufacturing boats by 1958–59. It is listed in Canadian government manufacturing records specifically under “Transportation Equipment — Boats.” continue searching with chatgpt….
About your particular boat
From your photograph, I would estimate it is probably a 1960s-era Scotia fiberglass boat, likely around 14–16 feet. The unusual molded deck/seat arrangement and the small raised center steering console are useful clues for identifying the exact model.
The SF emblem you have is much more useful than I initially realized. I would like to track down the Scotia models and catalog/advertising material from the 1950s–60s and see if I can match this hull exactly.
If you can get me a photo of the SF emblem straight-on, and especially the inside of the transom where any serial number or plate might be, I may be able to narrow it down to the exact model and approximate year.
