    title says  electric ???   but it is a  pulse pump  and worked fine a QD pump mod

     

    bad tank vent or dirty fuel pick-up causes hand pump collapse….will update post from home  my cottage…laptop pc has no files or links much

    re. PURGE  do you have the  johsnon service manual….??

     

    did you install the small pull down spring on the inlet needle??  could be sticking needle   if hand pumping restores operation the fuel flow is the problem   make certain the air vent  is clear on the carb  it is used for balancing atmospheric pressure
