if i can throw my $.02 in, i have the same motor. when i pulled the flywheel , someone (probably a dealer mechanic) wrote -new pistons, rings, connecting rods, bearings . and also wrote the date which i think was 1970’s. I am guessing the owner used 50:1. not sure but i use 16:1 in mine. runs great. hope that helps
